Dictionary of modern Ukrainian language and slang “Myslovo” chose the word “busification” as the word of 2024.

This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to the official website of the above-mentioned source.

The above-mentioned neologism, denoting forced mobilization under an accelerated procedure, has become a symbol of the complex processes taking place in Ukrainian society.

The term points to problems with the quality of mobilization, when quantitative indicators are often placed above human rights and common sense.

The word is derived from the root “bus” meaning a minibus and the suffix “-ification” which is used to denote an action or transformation.

This reflects the public perception of accelerated mobilization, accompanied by violations of citizens' rights. Other contenders for the title of word of the year included terms such as “SZCh” (unauthorized abandonment of a unit), which was the result of problems in the organization of troops, and “Kursk operation”, which became an example of a successful military strategy of Ukraine. .

It is worth noting that it has also become known how the war in Ukraine may end.
