President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky took an important step towards improving conditions for military personnel.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the official website of the Presidential Office.
He instructed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to work on the issue of demobilization soldiers after 18 months of service. This step was a response to public demand, confirmed by an electronic petition that collected the required number of votes back in April 2023.
The petition, initiated by citizens, focused on the long stay of soldiers at the front and the need legislative regulation of their return to civilian life. President Zelensky supported the idea and initiated a comprehensive analysis of this issue.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is obliged to provide a report on the results of the study. However, this process requires a detailed approach, since changes in the law on mobilization will affect the entire defense system of the country.
Against the backdrop of the ongoing war, this step demonstrates the government's willingness to take into account public opinion and the desire to humanize service conditions. It is important that this initiative be put into practice, ensuring the protection of the rights of those who defend Ukraine every day.
Meanwhile, Trump made a new admission about Ukraine.
