Head of the Kyiv City Military administration Timur Tkachenko noted that since the threat of Russian attacks has not disappeared, it is especially important how shelters for people work.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Timur Tkachenko.
< p>To check this, the Kyiv authorities conducted a special raid on the evening of Friday, January 10.
“Friday. Evening. Checked the condition of shelters and the progress of work to create new protective structures in different areas of Kyiv,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Tkachenko emphasized that the threat of attacks does not disappear, and the capital remains in the crosshairs. Therefore, the arrangement of shelters is not a matter of desire or convenience, but a basic need that cannot be ignored.
At the same time, he admitted that three years of war have resulted in many problems: closed shelters, lack of conditions for long-term stay, inaccessibility for people with limited mobility. According to him, these are not just shortcomings – these are real risks to life.
According to the head of the Kyiv MVA, systematic work is needed, and it must be coordinated at all levels. If there is a failure somewhere, it can cost someone their health or life.
“People should know where their nearest shelter is and have a real opportunity to use it, without any “buts.” Neither money nor construction “on paper” will replace people's responsibility. Everyone must work clearly and without disruptions so that everyone's safety becomes the norm, not a privilege,” Timur Tkachenko concluded.
Recall that earlier it was reported that minibuses in Kyiv have become much more expensive: where and how fares have changed.
