Former Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba spoke about lowering the mobilization age to 18.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Tsn.

According to him, it is likely that they will not go to Ukraine to call up young men of that age to the front. At the same time, Kuleba nevertheless suggested that the mobilization age would be lowered. In his opinion, it might be a question of a reduction of one or two years from the current maximum threshold, that is, from 25 years.

«It is the generals who must convey this argument to the political leadership and to parliament. And most importantly – to the people of Ukraine. Because it will be an extremely painful decision that will not be welcomed by any part of Ukrainian society,” the diplomat concluded.

Kuleba also told how he barely dissuaded his 18-year-old son from his decisions to serve in the army.

«He attends military courses and “I have barely persuaded him to continue his studies at the moment. I will respect his choice. It is not something to strive for, but if your time has come, you must accept this challenge with dignity,” the former foreign minister noted. .

Recall that earlier it was reported that Ukraine had made a new decision on demobilization: the president gave the order to Shmyhal.
