Russian invaders are several changed their tactics on the battlefield in one of the directions of the front.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Financial Times.

They have begun to bypass heavy urban fighting in the Donetsk region. At the same time, the Russians are heading towards the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Journalists from the Financial Times noted that Ukraine has been preparing for urban fighting in Pokrovsk since the summer. This settlement is a key logistics and transport hub for the districts of the Donetsk region.

However, the publication's analysts concluded that the Russians have now moved west from Pokrovsk, being only seven kilometers from the highway leading to the Dnipropetrovsk region. High-ranking Ukrainian intelligence officer Andrey Chernyak told journalists that the enemy has changed its strategy. According to him, the new tactics are aimed at making the Ukrainian Armed Forces leave Pokrovsk themselves.

“They understand that they will lose a lot of forces trying to take Pokrovsk, so they decided to follow a different strategy and come from the south, bypass it. They will try to cut off all supplies to Pokrovsk so that our troops leave there,” he explained.

The next major city in the Dnipropetrovsk region is Pavlograd. It is a significant Ukrainian military base. Journalists noted that how quickly Russian troops will be able to take the highway in the direction of Dnipropetrovsk depends on the level of advance in this area.

According to a Ukrainian soldier, the terrain will also play a role in the speed of the Russians' advance. The soldier describes it as “deep, muddy and impassable.” Chernyak noted that the Russians will try to seize as much territory as possible before the negotiations.

“They are trying to seize as much territory as possible so that when their forces are eventually exhausted, they will have something to negotiate with,” the Ukrainian intelligence representative concluded.

At the same time, Zelensky made a new proposal to the DPRK: the president said what he is ready to agree to.
