Bread prices in Ukraine continue grow rapidly, and this process is expected to continue in the future.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Unian.

Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denis Marchuk predicted that in 2025 the cost of bakery products could increase by more than 20%.

The expert noted that bread is constantly becoming more expensive due to a significant increase in the cost of all stages of its production and delivery. The rise in the price of fuel, electricity and other resources creates an additional burden on producers.

In particular, in the structure of the cost price of bread, about a third is accounted for by the cost of flour, which is also growing rapidly. This is affected by the costs of growing and harvesting grain, which have increased significantly due to the rise in the price of fuel and lubricants.

“Another important factor is the shortage of personnel in the industry. To solve it, some producers are forced to raise wages, others – invest in automation of production, which also increases costs,” Marchuk explained.

Power outages force bakeries to use generators, which significantly increases the cost of the production process.

“In 2025, the price of bread will grow by 1.5-2% monthly, and by more than 20% per year,” Marchuk noted.

At the same time, some Ukrainians still have not received the “Zelensky thousand”: when will the funds be credited.
