OpenAI has released a new artificial intelligence model, o3-mini.

It has become the most powerful in its class. According to the developers, o3-mini contains popular functions such as: function calls, structured results, and the ability to receive messages. Consequently, the new AI model is capable of reasoning on complex topics and providing more detailed answers.
It is noted that o3-mini is an improved version of o1-mini, which has faster operation and improved performance. It is designed for deeper analysis of queries and solving complex problems.
According to the testing results, o3-mini demonstrated 39% fewer serious errors than o1-mini, and its answers were considered the best in 56% of cases. With an average level of mental effort, it is equal to o1 in complex mathematical and logical problems such as AIME and GPQA.
In addition, the o3-mini version will be free for users in ChatGPT. In particular, in order to use o3-mini for free, the user needs to select the “Reason” item in the message compiler, after which the chatbot will switch to the new model.
In addition, OpenAI has tripled the request limit for ChatGPT Plus and Team users – from 50 to 150 messages per day. And for Pro users, unlimited access to the o3-mini and o3-mini-high versions is provided.
