Who Will Win a Possible Joshua vs. Wilder Fight: Roy Jones' Prediction

Twitter LinkedIn

American boxer Roy Jones Jr., who has made a name for himself in several weight classes, shared his opinion on a possible fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. This fight, if it happens, could become one of the most talked about events in the world of boxing.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing iFL TV.

Roy Jones noted in an interview that the fight promises to be difficult for both sides. He expressed the opinion that Joshua's chances of winning may be higher.

“This is a tough fight, but I think Joshua has a better chance of winning. Everyone says that Deontay is broken and all that, but Joshua also suffered quite badly,” the boxer noted.

Recalling Wilder's recent fights, Jones emphasized that his performance against Robert Helenius raised questions.

“Against Parker, Wilder looked like he didn't want to fight anymore. I really didn't like his performance,” he added.

As for Joshua, his career has also been through significant trials. After losses to Andy Ruiz and Oleksandr Usyk, the British boxer is trying to regain his form and return to the top. However, whether he can cope with Wilder's power remains an open question.

Wilder, known for his powerful punch, could create serious problems for Joshua if he can use his strengths. On the other hand, Anthony has technique and physical endurance, which could be key factors in a potential fight.

Boxing fans continue to debate the chances of each fighter, with experts giving different predictions. If the fight takes place, it will be a real battle between two former champions who are looking to prove their strength on the world stage.
