In response to possible reduction in international aid Ukraine is taking steps to strengthen its economy. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree approving the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to maintain economic stability and improve the country's financial system.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing the corresponding decree of the president.

The Cabinet of Ministers must analyze the state of international aid and develop proposals for attracting new donors within a month. The authorities are also required to take measures to ensure funding for key areas such as education and healthcare.

The Cabinet of Ministers is required to speed up import substitution and support Ukrainian manufacturers, which will help strengthen the domestic economy.

The National Security and Defense Council has instructed to improve the criteria for recognizing defense companies as critically important, as well as to ensure the reservation of workers for key industries.

The decree also includes measures to block the assets of individuals and legal entities subject to sanctions in order to protect the country from economic threats.
