Despite a slight decrease in the intensity of military actions, Russia continues to actively prepare for new attacks. This was reported by Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Vadim Skibitsky, who emphasized that the decline in activity is temporary and does not mean a change in the enemy's strategic plans.
This was reported by URA-Inform, citing RBC-Ukraine.
Temporary decline in activity at the front
According to intelligence, Russian troops have reduced the number of assaults and attacks, which has been noted by both military observers and OSINT channels. However, as Skibitsky emphasized, this is not a sign of weakening of the Russian group, but only a temporary pause.
“We are recording a decrease in the activity of military actions, and above all a decrease in armed clashes. But their troop grouping still remains powerful – more than 620 thousand servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, who are stationed in our temporarily occupied territories, in the Kursk region,” the general said.
In addition, weather conditions also affected the intensity of the fighting, but this did not change the overall strategy of the enemy.
Russia uses pause to prepare new offensives
The temporary decrease in activity does not mean a refusal to continue offensive actions. Russia is using this time to regroup troops, replenish losses and train personnel. According to Skibitsky, the enemy continues to increase the supply of ammunition and plan new attacks.
Ukrainian intelligence notes that the current situation is only a respite, not a sign of the weakening of the Russian army. The coming weeks may show which directions the enemy will choose for new offensives.
