The average salary of full-time employees in Ukraine increased by 23.1% in 2024, reaching UAH 21,473. However, in some areas, earnings significantly exceed this level. Specialists in the IT and financial sectors have particularly high incomes, where salaries are two to three times higher than the average.

Which industries earn the most?
1. The highest salaries are in the information and telecommunications sector. Incomes in this sector grew by 38.2%, and now the average salary is UAH 52,457.
2. Financial and insurance activities rank second. The average income of workers in this sector reached UAH 41,384, which is 20.3% more than last year.
3. In the sphere of professional, scientific and technical activity, the average salary is 29,200 hryvnia. Over the year, the growth was 24.7%.
4. Public administration and defense workers now receive an average of 29,099 hryvnia. Their income has increased by 24.4%.
5. The lowest salaries are still observed in the education sector. On average, teachers and lecturers receive 14,593 hryvnia, which is 17.3% more than the previous year.
Wage growth and inflation
According to the State Statistics Service, in 2024, wages grew faster than the inflation rate. Average annual inflation was 6.5%, and real wage growth reached 16.6%.
In addition, salaries in dollar equivalent have also increased. In 2024, the average salary in Ukraine was $535, which is 12.1% more than in 2023. This figure already exceeds the 2021 level, when the average salary was $514.
Thus, the incomes of Ukrainians continue to grow, especially in high-paying sectors such as IT and finance.
