The results of the summit are reported by URA-Inform, citing European Pravda.

The main emphasis was placed on the principle of “peace through strength”, which should help the country enter the negotiations with a strong position. The document clearly points out the importance of Ukraine's independence in the peace negotiations process.

“There can be no negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine,” the communique said, stressing that the country must be a key participant in all future discussions.

The EU also states that any agreements affecting European security cannot be adopted without the participation of European countries.

According to the communiqué, the fundamental principle on which peace must be built is respect for the territorial integrity of Ukraine. This includes both before and after negotiations to end the war. The European Union insists that Ukraine needs to have a strong military and defense potential to create a lasting peace.

EU leaders stress that any agreement must be accompanied by reliable security guarantees for Ukraine to prevent future aggression from Russia. They also stress the importance of increased support for Ukraine: from political and humanitarian to military and economic aid. The EU will continue to support Kyiv in resisting Russian aggression and increase pressure on Moscow through sanctions.

An important detail is that Hungary was the only country that did not support the summit's final document, which caused additional discussions within the EU. However, most countries agreed with the plan for the rearmament of Europe proposed by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

Thus, the EU continues to take a hard line towards Ukraine and is actively working to strengthen its defence capabilities, confidently following the principle of “peace through strength”.
