The Ukrainian government has approved a bonus for English language proficiency for certain categories of people.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Taras Melnychuk.
The government representative in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Taras Melnychuk, said that its size will be 10% of the salary. This will happen immediately after the war.
He specified that the document defines the establishment of a bonus for English language proficiency at a level not lower than B2 on the scale of the Council of Europe's recommendations for language education (CEFR).
The resolution will enter into force simultaneously with the entry into force of Part 6 of Article 4 of the Law “On the Use of the English Language in Ukraine” (from the date of termination or cancellation of martial law) and will be valid for four years.
In addition, People's Deputy from the European Solidarity party Oleksiy Goncharenko reported on his Telegram channel that the following categories were affected by the resolution:
– contract military personnel;
– heads (deputies) of local state administrations;
– police officers (middle and senior staff of the National Police);
– senior officials of other law enforcement agencies and civil defense services;
– prosecutors;
– managers, members of the executive body, members of the supervisory board (board of directors) and other officials of state enterprises, business entities in whose authorized capital more than 50% belongs to the state;
-heads of state scientific institutions;
-heads of higher education institutions;
– employees in the field of education and science (heads of institutions, establishments, organizations).
