Ukraine continues to seek membership in the European Union, but one major obstacle remains. President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that all EU countries support Ukraine's accession, with the exception of one: Hungary.
This was reported by URA-Inform, citing the Kharkiv Sanok Telegram channel .
According to the president, no other EU country is against Ukraine’s European integration, and this process is also supported by strategic partners such as the United States.
“Everyone supports it, except for one country. That's Hungary,” Zelensky emphasized.
Budapest has repeatedly expressed doubts about Ukraine's prospects for joining the EU. The Hungarian leadership has repeatedly stated its concerns related to the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine and the possible economic consequences of the Union's expansion.
Recall that earlier it was reported about a truce between Ukraine and the Russian Federation: Sibiga reported what algorithms are already being worked out.
At the same time, Kyiv emphasizes that it continues to fulfill all requirements for accession and counts on the support of European partners. Despite Hungary's position, Ukraine is not going to abandon the European integration course and will seek ways to resolve all contentious issues.
