To Translate or Not to Translate: When Will Ukraine Switch to Daylight Saving Time in 2025?

TwitterLinkedIn

In 2025, Ukraine will switch to daylight saving time again, which, like every year, will change the daily rhythm of life. Despite the ongoing debate about its necessity, daylight saving time remains mandatory in most countries, including Ukraine.

URA-Inform reports this.

The transition to summer time in 2025 will take place on the night of March 29-30. At 03:00, the clocks will move forward one hour, which will entail the loss of one hour of sleep, but in return, Ukrainians will receive longer daylight hours. This change will be especially useful in the spring and summer, when every additional hour of light brings positive changes to mood and productivity.

However, the question of the advisability of switching to summer and winter time continues to cause controversy. In 2019, the European Union gave its countries the opportunity to independently choose between winter and summer time. Ukraine has also repeatedly raised this issue. In particular, bill No. 4201 is being considered, which suggests switching to permanent winter time. However, the final decision on this issue has not yet been made.

To ease the process of adapting to daylight saving time, experts advise preparing in advance. A few days before the transition, try to go to bed a little earlier, about 15-20 minutes each day. Also, avoid caffeine and heavy food in the evening. Moreover, do not forget to spend the morning time outdoors – this will help the body adapt to the changes faster. A stable sleep pattern after the transition will significantly reduce discomfort.

Let us recall that earlier we reported on the horoscope for the week from March 17 to 23: advice from the stars for all zodiac signs.
