90% of the members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence are against returning to this issue.
The Ministry of Defense proposed to parliament that women should be required to register for military service, but this does not mean that women should mobilize.
Colonel of the SBU, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko spoke about this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law stipulating that only women with a medical education should register, all others should do so at their own request. That’s it, the issue is closed. If a woman wants, she goes to the military registration and enlistment office and mobilizes. Nobody forbids her to serve. We are now many women serve, fulfill their duties to the state, but of their own free will. No one is going to force them,” Kostenko emphasized.

As the parliamentarian recalled, President Zelensky recently said that he would not sign a law providing for the mobilization of women.
In addition, according to Kostenko, 90% of the members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence are against returning to this issue.
“We already went through this two years ago. Remember what the reaction was? Why do it again? I think that this issue will be resolved when a comprehensive plan for mobilization in Ukraine is developed, and we will not return to it again,” the Committee Secretary concluded on issues of national security, defense and intelligence.
