For 11 months of 2023, the prosecutor's office reported suspicions 254 persons. Among them are people's deputies, judges, current and former top officials.
This was reported by the NABU press service.
It is noted that this is the highest figure in the entire history of anti-corruption authorities.
NABU recalled that reporting suspicion is one of the main stages of the pre-trial investigation. It indicates that the investigator has collected a sufficient number of facts of the person’s possible involvement in the commission of a crime. After a person acquires the status of a suspect, the process of bringing him to criminal responsibility begins.
