Border guards stopped suspects of entering into a fictitious marriage to smuggle a man out of Ukraine

The woman was informed of suspicion of committing the crime of “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine.”

(GNSU) stopped newlyweds from -for suspicions of entering into a fictitious marriage.

This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Service.

“In order to travel abroad, a 44-year-old man entered into a fictitious marriage with a 57-year-old woman with group II disability ”, the message says.

The “newlyweds” chose the Krakovets checkpoint to travel to Poland. There they provided a marriage certificate and a certificate of a disabled person of group II citizenship as a basis for leaving.

However, during an additional check, the spouses admitted that they had entered into a marriage of convenience.
