Ukraine hopes to hold another prisoner exchange in the coming weeks, – Lubinets

Ukraine is faced with the task of returning absolutely all of its own from captivity.

Within one week, Ukraine may Russia.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets spoke about this.

“But don’t forget who we are fighting with, they are negotiating insidiously, and no one knows when they will be able to interrupt this process again. But we are doing absolutely everything possible that depends on Ukraine,” Lubinets noted.

He added that over the past two weeks certain changes have occurred in negotiations with Russia: mutual visits to prisoners of war, mutual exchange of warm things and today, finally, the return of prisoners.

“The task is to return absolutely everyone,” the ombudsman emphasized.

Dmitry Lubinets also said that the Ukrainian defenders and defenders who returned from captivity today were there from 6 months to 1.5 years. All of them are in poor physical condition, exhausted, and very thin.

At the same time, the exchange was complicated by the fact that the Russian Federation wanted not to carry out an exchange of prisoners, to block the process of returning civilian hostages in order to try to blow up the situation in Ukraine from the inside as much as possible.
