The Armed Forces of Ukraine are working to expand training activities for foreign models of military equipment on the territory of Ukraine.
>The head of the Main Directorate of Doctrines and Training (J7) of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Alexei Taran, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the opportunity to train specialists for 30 foreign types of weapons and military equipment (MVT) on the territory of the Ukrainian state, Ukrinform reports with reference to ArmyInform .
“We are working to expand training activities for foreign weapons and military equipment on our territory. This work is carried out through the simultaneous training of Ukrainian instructors with specialists who will train specialists on the territory of Ukraine. There is already an opportunity to train specialists on our territory for more than 30 samples of arms and military equipment,” he said.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue this work next year.

The major general said that the duration of this training is determined by the complexity of using a particular type of weapons and military equipment.
“As an example, The service number M777 155 mm is being prepared in a week, subject to the former artilleryman being sent for training for retraining. And the crew of the Abrams tank is preparing for almost two months,” said the major general.
The need of the Defense Forces for equipment is enormous. It can only be provided by its own industry.
Answering the question whether there are differences in the professionalism of military personnel trained abroad and those trained in Ukraine, Taran noted that the training of Ukrainian military personnel, units, headquarters in training centers of partner countries is standardized for all “types” of combat training in accordance with the programs under which the Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out training on the territory of Ukraine.

“This does not apply only to training for modern foreign weapons and military equipment.
