The Ministry of Defense approved the second sample of body armor for military personnel

Now the department expects from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the need to purchase these products.

The Ministry of Defense has approved the second.

The press service of the department reported this.

The body armor was developed by the Temp-3000 company. It was equipped with damper cushions. They will help you adjust the body armor to the anatomical features of each woman. In total, the set includes three pads of different sizes.

“In addition, to protect the groin, the manufacturer has developed an additional handbag with a soft ballistic package. Women's body armor has the same ballistic characteristics as men's. The tests lasted three months and took place in two stages. The first was for ease of wearing by military personnel. The second was laboratory tests” ( ballistic, non-ballistic, testing of materials and accessories),” the ministry said.

The body armor weighs 10.5 kg or more, depending on the configuration.

Deputy Minister of Defense Vitaly Polovenko reported that they want to provide products to more than 40 thousand women who serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and especially those on the front line.

“We have already talked with the manufacturers. In general, “Ukrainian Armor” can produce up to 10,000 sets in 60-90 days for advance order conditions, and the Temp 3000 company can produce 5,000 sets per month,” Polovenko said.

The Ministry of Defense noted that both types of body armor (the first from Ukrainian Armor) are available for centralized purchase. The Ministry expects from the General Staff the need to purchase these products, after which it will form volumes and lists for purchase. h3>
