“Lost a friend”: border guards detained 6 dodgers on the way to Transnistria

The “travelers” were detained in Vinnytsia, they were trying to get to Moldova.

< p>As reported by the State National Security Service, in the dark, five men were heading towards the Transnistrian segment of the Ukrainian-Moldavian border.

“Their path ran past populated areas through fields and forest belts,” border guards noted.

When detained, five violators admitted that there was another person with them, so the State Tax Service employees immediately continued the search. It didn’t take long to search for the offender; in a matter of minutes he was detained near the border.

Reports were drawn up against all men for attempting to illegally cross the border, and the cases were sent to court.

Evaders continue to come up with new ways to escape abroad:

  • Border guards detained a man who was trying to escape to Moldova by swimming. My husband crossed the border in a wetsuit and fins. He was “caught” from the Dniester using a boat.
  • Ten men from different regions of Ukraine also tried to escape through the Dniester. They contacted the organizer and “hired” a ferry to Moldova. The “ticket” cost $5,000 each.
  • Also for $5,000, a resident of Rivne region helped the evaders escape. He looked for “clients” through social networks, and his henchman took them by car to a forest plantation on the border with Moldova and informed them about the further route on foot to the EU country.
