Crimean political prisoner Arsen Abkhairov was transferred to a Buryat colony

Arsen Abkhairov, sentenced to 13 years in prison, spent two years in a Krasnoyarsk prison.

Crimean political prisoner in the case of the “Red Guard Group” Hizb ut-Tahrir Arsen Abkhairov transported from prison of the Yenisei Krasnoyarsk Territory to a maximum security colony in Buryatia.

The wife of the political prisoner, Aziza Abkhairova, spoke about this, reports Crimean Solidarity.

Arsen Abkhairov, sentenced to 13 years in prison, spent two years in Krasnoyarsk prison. Moreover, he had to spend the first two years, taking into account the period of detention in the pre-trial detention center, in prison. However, his time in pre-trial detention center was not counted towards his prison term.

Abkhairov's defense tried to appeal the court's decision, but it failed.

Arsen Abkhairov, along with other members of the Krasnogvardeyskaya group, was detained on February 14, 2019. All of them were accused of belonging to the political Islamic organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, banned in Russia.
