Taiwan increased fines 15 times for transferring sanctioned goods to Russia

Taiwan will strengthen export controls of sanctioned goods to Russia. Fines for the transfer of technologies, metal-working machines and other goods will increase 15 times.

RBC-Ukraine reported this to Focus Taiwan.

The Ministry of Economy to Taiwan announced yesterday, February 2 , which strengthened control over the export of goods in order to prevent them from being stolen by Russia from the war against Ukraine.

“In addition, the fine for the first violation of exports to Russia was increased more than 15 times before 1 million New Taiwan Dollars ( 32,055 US dollars),” the department says.

Vlada Taiwan also intends to strengthen control over the supply of Taiwanese technologies to Russia and Belarus through third countries. Let's talk about the Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates.

Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs also included the Russian company iMachine on the list of sanctions. As many as 1,900 subjects were added to the list.

What was conveyed to whom

I guess, earlier ZMI reported that Taiwan had become the most important supplier of metal-working machines to Russia after the start of a large-scale war in Ukraine.

It is indicated that workbenches are required for the production of armor. Previously, these workbenches were delivered to the Russians in Germany, Japan and Switzerland, but they went from the market, and the Chinese workbenches are not clear enough.
