In Krivoy Rog, repair teams of power engineers have restored critical infrastructure and household consumers.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of NEC “Ukrenergo” Vladimir Kudrytsky.
“The work to restore power to consumers in Krivoy Rog and surrounding areas continues; today we were at all damaged facilities. As of now, the main task is to heal the critical infrastructure and household consumers as soon as possible – the repair crews completed it, for this we are deeply grateful, as well as to our colleagues from distribution networks and the local power plant,” said Kudritsky.
He added that repair work continues around the clock, specialists continue to restore high-voltage equipment, test the operation of surviving equipment, and select a replacement for the destroyed equipment from the emergency stock. which was formed throughout 2023.
“We will definitely be here again in the coming days, there are specific plans to increase the reliability of power supply,” added the chairman of the board of Ukrenergo.
The situation with the power supply in Krivoy Rog
- On the night of February 2, Russia launched a new massive drone strike on the southern and central regions of Ukraine. There was damage at one of the substations of NPC Ukrenergo. In Krivoy Rog, household and industrial consumers were left without electricity.
- On February 3, as of 07.00, due to the attack by “martyrs” in the city, 15 thousand residents were without power, and two boiler houses were also left without power supply.
- According to NEC, this attack on energy infrastructure was one of the most massive attacks on the energy sector in a year.
