Law enforcement officers reported suspicion to a member of the garrison hospital VLK for receiving a bribe. According to investigators, he demanded money for confirming the diagnosis of a sick military man.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region.

“According to the investigation, the doctor demanded $5,000 from a sick serviceman for declaring him unfit for service by a military medical commission with exclusion from military registration and dismissal from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the message says.

It is noted that the doctor knew for certain that the military man had a medical disease, which is the basis for declaring him unfit.

Law enforcement officers established that he was obliged to obtain the appropriate medical certificates, as well as influence colleagues to make a positive decision.

The doctor was detained in a military hospital in the Khmelnytsky region while receiving the second part of the habr in the amount of $1,800. He received the first part the day before.

The man was chosen as a preventive measure and removed from office. The involvement of other persons in the crime is being verified.
