Ukraine proposes to redirect European ammunition from third countries to itself

Dmitry Kuleba noted that “there are still a lot of artillery shells in the world,” so it is necessary to “triple efforts to bring them from third countries to Europe.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba

Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that it is necessary to stimulate negotiations between European companies and governments with third countries in order to ensure the supply of shells from these countries to Ukraine, as well as to increase the import of ammunition from third countries to Europe.

About this Kuleba said at a joint press conference with the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

Can we level the artillery balance with the Russian Federation? Definitely. If all-out efforts are made. We need to enter into negotiations with the countries that contracted the shells in Europe and tell them: “Sorry, we have the biggest war here in Europe since the Second World War, we need these shells to protect Europe,” the minister said.

Kuleba noted that “there are still a lot of artillery shells in the world,” so it is necessary to “triple efforts to bring them to Europe from third countries.”

The Foreign Minister recalled , that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia there were examples when some countries told producers: “We ordered this from you, but we will wait, give it to Ukraine now.”

“I want every Ukrainian soldier to know that every day in Brussels, Kiev and other capitals the only work being done is how to deliver more shells to Ukraine, to the Ukrainian soldier,” Kuleba added.
