The enemy shelled the Sumy region with artillery, infantry fighting vehicles and mortars, two people were killed (updated)

Five communities in the region suffered from enemy aggression.

At night and in the morning, the Russians committed eight shellings of border areas and settlements in the Sumy region, a total of 39 explosions were recorded. The Belopolskaya, Velikopisarevskaya, Novoslobodskaya, Shalyginskaya, and Seredino-Budskaya communities suffered shelling.

This was reported in the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

In particular, in the Belopol community the enemy fired mortars (six explosions) and artillery (six explosions). Shelling was also carried out from an infantry fighting vehicle (six explosions).

Mortar shelling (two explosions) was recorded in the Seredino-Buda community.

The Russians hit the Velikopisarevskaya community with artillery (eight explosions).

The Shaliginsk community suffered from mines: three mines were dropped by the enemy on the territory of the community.

In the Novoslobodsk community, artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation (seven explosions) and an airstrike by UAVs were recorded.

Information about the consequences of the shelling and the casualties is being clarified.

Update. Later, the Sumy Regional Police Department reported two deaths.

“At 5 o'clock “In the morning, the enemy launched an air and artillery strike on the Novoslobodsk community of the Konotop region. As a result of the shelling, a fire occurred in a residential building. The fire was localized. The bodies of two dead were found,” the message says.

The analysis of rubble and search work continues.
