An adviser to the National Guard in Arizona named a fairly specific time frame for the training of Ukrainian aces.
National Guard spokeswoman Captain Erin Gennigan said that the first group began training at the 162nd Airlift Wing base in Arizona in mid-October, and the second in January. The third group of Ukrainian aces does not yet work directly with aircraft, but attends language courses and learns the necessary English terminology.
All three groups are expected to complete training between May and August, but the exact timing will depend on how much progress the military makes.
- Previously, the press secretary of the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat said that the exact date of the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine would not be announced.
- Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte hopes that this will happen “as soon as possible.”
- The media claim that fighter jets will appear in the Ukrainian skies in the summer.
