Poles discovered smuggling of amber on a passenger train from Ukraine

Polish officers noticed how the train driver from Odessa stepped out of the locomotive and handed over a black package to an unknown person. They detained the recipient of the shipment, a 54-year-old resident of the Przemysl region.

When the train entered the platform in Przemysl, law enforcement officers detained two Ukrainian drivers. The transferred package contained about 30 kg of unprocessed pieces of amber, the cost of which was estimated at 100 thousand zlotys. Lublin customs last year discovered 67.4 kg of amber, which a Ukrainian woman tried to transport to Poland through the Rawa-Russkaya – Grebennoye checkpoint.
