The first 50 thousand kits have already been delivered to warehouses.
First aid kits
The medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive.
Deputy Minister of Defense Natalya Kalmykova reported this.
According to her, now the main batch of aid is coming from Germany, and the first 50 thousand kits have already been received at the warehouses of the Ministry of Defense. Moreover, in addition to German first aid kits, another 300 thousand sets are also stored here.
Kalmykova explained that it was possible to reboot the process of storing property in military warehouses thanks to the simplification of the write-off procedure.
The innovation should significantly simplify the process of providing tactical medicine to the front line. “If previously, due to the loss of a first aid kit, an internal investigation began, otherwise it would have been impossible to obtain a new first aid kit, despite the availability of the Ministry of Defense in warehouses, now it is enough to report to the commander, and he, in turn, will submit a corresponding request to the financing department. There, the lost first aid kit will be written off, so thus freeing up space for receiving a new one from the composition,” explained the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense.
- Last December, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov signed an order introducing a simplified procedure for writing off military medical equipment (first aid kits, bags and backpacks).
- Now a serviceman who loses or uses a first aid kit, bag and backpack during combat or when performing other tasks, notifies the commander of his unit orally or in writing. Then the commander draws up a report and adds to it an extract from the combat log or the final combat report. These documents are presented to the unit commander, who appoints a commission that draws up the write-off act, after which the unit commander signs the act, and the financial service writes off the specified medical property.
- Last month, the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the department to simplify the accounting of military property and its write-off. Commanders must be given the right to write off military property by their own order without the approval of senior officials. This applies to property worth up to 100 thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens, approximately 1.7 million UAH.
