Budanov said that Russian volunteer forces have enough strength to “at least achieve limited success”

The Chairman of Ukrainian Military Intelligence believes that these formations will be joined by various movements of opposition forces that are located both inside Russia and abroad.

Kirill Budanov

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, said that fighters of the Legion “Freedom of Russia”, “RDK” and “Siberian Battalion”, carrying out operations in the Belgorod and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, “become a force”, and Ukraine will help them, Interfax-Ukraine reports .

“As far as we know, they do not intend to finish in the near future. They will do what they have the strength to do. And as we see, they have enough strength to at least achieve limited success. We will see what happens next over time,” – the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate said during the telethon on Saturday, March 16.

Budanov also noted that Russian volunteer formations are gradually acquiring subjectivity.

“they definitely can no longer be called groups, this is already a force. There are now several of them, and they are close to uniting on the principles of a joint vision of the need to transform the Russian Federation. I think they will be joined by various movements of opposition forces that are both inside Russia and abroad. These guys showed that there are many ways to get back what you have. Not only by talking about how they want to change something, but also by actions,” Budanov said.

< Also, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that Russian volunteers helped Ukraine very effectively from the first days of the war, so Ukraine will help them “to the best of our ability.”

On Tuesday, March 12, fighters of the “Freedom of Russia” legion, “ RDK” and “Siberian Battalion” stated that they entered the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate confirmed this information.
