In Volyn, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service neutralized 167 artillery shells from the First World War

The shells were found near the village of Kolpitov, Vladimir region.

On Friday, March 15, emergency workers received a message about the need to carry out work to clear the area from explosive objects near the village of Kolpitov, Vladimir district.

Employees of the pyrotechnic work and humanitarian demining group of the Volyn regional department of the State Emergency Service checked 1600 sq. m of territory and found 167 artillery ammunition from the First World War. Having lain for more than a century, they still posed a mortal danger.

The discovered explosive objects were neutralized.
