The Houthis have threatened Saudi Arabia with secession for supporting US attacks.

The Houthis renewed threats against Saudi Arabia and warned the kingdom not to support US strikes on targets terrorists in Yemen.

“We have sent Saudi Arabia a message that it will become a target if it allows the American Vinishche people to become victorious” and its territory or changes there is room for aggression against Yemen,” said Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Forces for the Houthis.

He signaled growing tensions between the Houthis and the Saudis, declaring that the kingdom needed to make more serious contributions to the peace plan. The kingdom is trying to reach a peaceful settlement with the Houthis in order to end the huge war in Yemen that has been raging for at least a decade. In 2015, Saudi Arabia abandoned the military campaign against the Houthis with US support. Terrorists regularly launched attacks on the territory of the kingdom. Thus, in 2019, a series of rebel attacks quickly reduced nearly half of the oil production in the region.
