The Lithuanian President accused two EU leaders of not wanting Russia to defeat

All other heads of state and government understand that Putin cannot be trusted.

Gitanas Nausėda

The President is growing in understanding: Russia must be defeated in the war against Ukraine.

As the head of state said in an interview with Politico, according to a different scenario, “there will be a continuation of this tragic story.” Now, according to the president, there are no those who would like to call Putin and talk to him about the situation in Ukraine.

However, the two leaders, as Nauseda notes, still trust the dictator. Although the politician did not name them, the publication’s journalists assume that we are talking about the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, and the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico.

The President of Lithuania warns that Russia threatens all of Europe and all democratic systems. “If they break through the defense line in Ukraine, then we will be next,” Nausėda concluded.
