Police reported suspicion to a developer in Ternopil who stole 25 million hryvnia

According to law enforcement officers, a contractor from the Kiev region received funds from the Ternopil City Council back in 2019 for the construction of a sports palace. The director of the company provided the customer with fictitious documents about the cost of purchased materials and the volume of work performed. As a result of this, the city's budget suffered millions in damage.

The attacker was informed of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code: seizure of property by abuse of official position and issuance of a knowingly false official document. The unfortunate developer faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The case is being handled by the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office.
