The US Secretary of State met with the French President as part of his European tour.

As stated in the official statement on the State Department website, one of the topics of the negotiations was the war in Ukraine. Both politicians “reaffirmed their strong support for Ukraine's struggle for freedom against Russian aggression.”
Blinken and Macron agreed to prevent the spread of the conflict in Gaza, in particular avoiding an escalation in Lebanon, and discussed threats and challenges from China and agreed on joint steps on global food security.
Secretary of State Blinken is on a “European tour” from April 1 to 5: in addition to France, he is scheduled to visit Belgium. The purpose of the visit is to signal to NATO partners about the US commitment to the Alliance.
