An attempt was made on the life of the governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chii in Russia. Propaganda media report that after a meeting with citizens in the city of Apatity, the politician was stabbed in the stomach.
He was taken to the hospital, where surgery was performed. According to the pro-Kremlin media TASS, the governor is in intensive care in serious condition. The attacker was detained.
Chibis has been leading the region since 2019. Sanctions have been imposed against him in the EU, USA, UK, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
