Poland will head the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025, replacing Hungary in this role.
As Ukrinform writes, the Polish head of state named cooperation with the United States of America, support for the European integration of Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans as priorities , climate initiatives and energy transformation.
During its presidency, Poland will organize two summits: “European Union – USA” and “European Union – Ukraine”. At the latter, issues of the post-war reconstruction of our country and its accession to the European community will be discussed.
Duda hopes that Ukraine will defend its sovereignty and independence – with the help of Poland – and become a reliable partner for Warsaw.
