Prosecutors proved in court that the man, who once served at the Lutsk military airfield, agreed to carry out the tasks of a Volynian acquaintance recruited by the Russian special services and became part of the enemy intelligence network.
During communication in among military personnel, the convict learned all the information about the airfield – security, number, types and types of aircraft, weapons reserves, etc. This intelligence data was subsequently transferred to a representative of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The activities of enemy agents in Volyn were stopped in March 2020.
The Office of the Prosecutor General notes that the court of first instance imposed a punishment on the curator of the convicted person sentenced to 14 years in prison, but he appealed the court decision. Currently, the proceedings are in the court of appeal.
We also recall that in April in the Nikolaev region, an enemy informer received 11 years in prison. The judges took into account cooperation with the investigation.
