Last night, power steering drones attacked the Volgograd oil refinery of Lukoil, – media

At the plant, among other things, the primary oil refining units AVT-1 and AVT-6 were damaged.

Drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense attacked the Volgograd oil refinery on the night of May 11, Ukrinform reports citing sources in the department.

In particular, as reported, at 03:45 a power steering drone struck Volgograd Oil Refinery, owned by PJSC Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka.

The AVT-1 and AVT-6 primary oil refining units at the plant were damaged. In addition, the control cable for the air coolers was damaged, as a result of which seven refrigerators were disabled. The chimney of the P-1 furnace was also damaged.

LUKoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka LLC is the largest producer of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation, the plant capacity is 14.8 million tons. Since 1993 it has been a 100% subsidiary PJSC LUKoil.

We also recall that earlier LB.ua sources reported that the attack on an oil refinery in Bashkiria on May 9 was a special operation by the SBU and set a range record of 1,500 km. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical production complexes in Russia.
