In Kyiv, the wanted culprit of a fatal accident committed another accident

The perpetrator was accidentally seen by the son of a deceased woman, who that day was on his way to a cassation hearing in his mother’s case.

Detention of guilt On July 11, an accident occurred, which was committed by a man, wanted for an earlier accident in which a woman died, Kiev24 reports.

At the time of the current incident, the culprit was accidentally seen by the son of the deceased, Nikolai Andrushchenko, who was at that time going to cassation in his mother’s case. The man called 102. When the police arrived, the first time they could not find the wanted attacker in the database – the attacker was sentenced to imprisonment, but was evading execution of the court sentence. Andrushchenko showed law enforcement officers an advertisement on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website from his phone, and only on the second attempt did they find the necessary information.

So far, the participant in the accident was detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center. And at cassation, the Supreme Court left his sentence from previous courts unchanged – 4 years in prison, 2 years of deprivation of a driver’s license. 

The victim’s son said that the person responsible for the accident began to threaten him with physical harm, and “promised to send him to zero” to his brother Sergei, who is a military man and subsequently arrived at the scene of the accident. Andrushchenko noted that his brother and he wrote a statement to the police about threats to life and health.
