Insignificant changes in the history of the Olympics

At the beginning of the last century, the Olympic Games program included sports that seem amazing today. The most important mistakes in the future were learned from programs, but you can still guess about them.

Tug of war

This It would have been more popular as a celebration at local fairs and in parks, and it was part of the Olympic program from 1900 to 1920.

The tug-of-war team could consist of athletes from different countries. Before the end, in the year 1900, athletes from Sweden and Denmark united, trying to defeat the French, and achieved success.

Filling with code changes

Another wonderful sport at the Paris Games is swimming with overcodes. The celebration took place on the Sena River. The swimmers were required to climb onto a pole, climb over a series of obstacles and gaps under another series of obstacles at a distance of 200 m.

However, since this sport will be excluded from the program, native Olympic committee (IOC) is considering the possibility of reviving it.

Duel shooting

Following the tradition of duels, the organisers of the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm decided to add dueling to the programme. True, the athletes did not shoot one at one, but at mannequins dressed in gentlemen's suits with painted targets on their chests.

Shooting at pigeons

The first Olympics, which Paris hosted 124 years ago, were remembered for their motorized target shooting – shooting at live pigeons.

The participants were guilty of shooting more birds than birds. After two misses, the shooters were switched off. The field, where the water was dry, became greedy, and there were all the dead and wounded pigeons there. About 300 birdies were scored. The gold medal was won by the Belgian Leon de Lunden, who won it from 21 pigeons. After the protests of the creatures, clay pigeons were also victorious at the upcoming Games.

Pentathlon

This unpopular sport debuted at the 1912 Olympics and will still be removed from the program. Empressed with traditional pentathlon under the hour of the ancient Igors. It modeled the skills needed by warriors in these times.

For another version, the story of the pentagonism of the current Olympics involves a French cavalry officer who had to wear a large bandage in order to convey important information. Having started his journey on horseback, he also had to fence, run, swim and shoot in order to deliver the sheet to the addressee.

The rules of pentathlon were changed more than once. Events at the 2024 Games include fencing, freestyle swimming, show jumping, laser pistol shooting and cross-country running.

Sport walking

In essence, this is a race for speed, but running is prohibited. According to the rules, athletes are required to “maintain contact with the ground and straighten the front knee when the foot is in contact with the ground, keeping it straight until the knee passes under the body.” The movements of the participants look strange.

Debutant to Paris. What a new sport has been added to the program

Breaking and breakdancing is the first dance discipline in the Igor program in its entire history. Athletes will score for the highest score in judging in solo performances – compete with complex combinations of moves, improvise with the rhythm of musical tracks.

Breakdancing is performed for women ( B-girls) and for human (B-boys) teams with the same number of participants. Patients come to celebrate on Zgodi Square in Paris on September 9-10, 2024.

For the first time, breakdancing will debut at the Summer Junior Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018, creating a stir in the main program zmagan.

Change the rules of zmagan at the Games 2024

Paris will have many more sports that debuted at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The event organizers added them to the program with the goal of getting more young people. Another feature of the XXIII Olympic Games is gender balance – the number of men and women among the athletes was equal.

Skateboarding

A popular sport among young people will be added to the Igor program in Tokyo in 2021. At the National Olympics in Paris, athletes perform jogging and stunts on the central square of Paris, Place de La Concorde (Zgodi Square).

Two types of tracks have been selected: “park” (roads with turns and corners) and “street” (roads with exits, handrails, etc., installed in such a way as to remind mister of the middle). The skin area can be represented by 6 skateboarders (3 men and 3 women).

Sports climbing

In this discipline, the rules for “combined” commands have been replaced with the same rules for skin conditions. The IOC calls this sport a focus on young people, and among athletes 39% are younger than 18 years old. Skeleton climbing was first presented at the Junior Games in Argentina in 2018, and a full-fledged debut was made in Tokyo in 2021.

At the Olympic Games in France, sports climbing covers three types of lifting: bouldering (climbing a 4.5 m wall without rollers), fluidity and leadership. The stinks will be at the Le Bourget Sport Climbing Venue arena (Le Bourget near the outskirts of Paris). The National Olympic Committees of the NOC of the skin region have the right to enter a maximum of four skeletal climbers (for two skin categories).

Surfing

Surfing takes place on a large platform in the middle of the mountain. Athletes demonstrate their rights on the legendary Teahupoo beach in Taiti (French overseas territory of Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean). This place is famous for its giant hulls, which can reach 7 meters.

Surfers are appreciated for the fluidity, foldability of the arms and the mastery of their movements (how smoothly the surfer rides the arms). To especially benefit from surfing at the Olympics, there is a supply of special boards. They can be called a “shortboard”, which, in contrast to traditional boards, has more flexible and maneuverable maneuvers for performing advanced tricks. Men and women of the team suffer the same fate on shortboards. In total, 48 athletes were qualified (24 skin conditions).

Traditional Olympic sports at the 2024 Games will also have innovations in line with the new rules for gender balance.

Walking, marathon, mixed relay (athletics) – will replace the sport I'll walk 50 km avg. men.

One additional female category (boxing) – instead of one human category.

Men and female kiteboarding ( Vitriol sport ) – the man and woman double boat becomes mixed, and the middle of the men of the important boat becomes obstructed.

Skeet shooting – the mixed parts at the ladder become obstructed, There will be them at the monastery.
