This was reported by the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky.

The minimum air temperature in the capital turned out to be the warmest for that day and did not fall below +21.7 °C. This exceeded the previous record of 1938 by 0.3 °C.

The maximum air temperature reached +34.2 °C – this is 0.5 °C higher than the previous record, which was recorded in 1885.

The average daily air temperature was the highest during the observation period for this day and amounted to +28.1 °C. It exceeded the previous record high of 1922 by 0.5°C, and the climate norm by 7.2°C.
