Kolomoisky will be in custody at least until the fall

The Shevchenko court in Kyiv extended the preventive measure with the possibility of bail.

Igor Kolomoisky

Oligarch Igor Kolomoisky will remain in pre-trial detention until September 2, 2024. The Shevchenko District Court of Kiev granted the detective's request to extend the preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 650 thousand subsistence minimums – that's 1.96 billion hryvnia.

As ZN.ua writes, Kolomoisky's lawyers asked to release their client on personal bail. The group of potential guarantors who spoke in the courtroom included TV presenters Alla Mazur and Natalya Moseychuk. However, judge Elena Chaika decided to continue the oligarch’s stay behind bars.

Kolomoisky has already received four suspicions from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General. He is accused of fraud, misappropriation of funds and organizing a contract killing. The oligarch ended up in pre-trial detention on September 2, 2023.
