Three metro stations and dozens of streets were renamed near Kharkov: list

In Kharkov, according to the order, three metro stations and 48 street have been renamed.

RBC-Ukraine reports this from KHARKIV Today at the meeting.

The order was signed by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov.

“A valuable term of decolonization and the removal of Russian markers from our public space. As the royal body of power, we are subject to all legal procedures,” Sinegubov said.

Renamed street

After the outbreak of war with Russian terrorists, Ukrainian places and villages began to adopt symbols and names associated with Russian history and culture. This is directly aimed at reinforcing the Ukrainian national identity and independence.

The streets will be renamed in honor of the Ukrainian military, volunteers and civil activists who made significant contributions to the fight for independence the hardness of the edge.

For example, in leaf fall 2023, 99 streets near Dnipro and Kharkiv were renamed.
