“Become a father of many children for $3,500”: A married couple from Odessa region organized a scheme for men to travel abroad

"Become a father of many children for $3,500": A married couple from the borders <p>Law enforcement officers exposed the individuals who helped men register fictitious paternity and, as a “father of three children,” obtain the right to cross the state border of Ukraine.</p> <p>This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.</p> <p>A 30-year-old resident of the Odessa region and her A 30-year-old man was looking for women with young children who were raising them without a father. The man, who already had two children of his own, filed a lawsuit in which he asked to amend the documents of a child to whom he had no relation, listing him as the father. </p> <p>This subsequently allowed fictitious “fathers” fit for military service to freely leave Ukraine as large families. </p> <p>It was established that becoming a “father” under this scheme cost 3,500 US dollars. </p> <p>At present, the organizers of the criminal scheme and the woman who provided permission to establish fictitious paternity have been notified of the suspicion. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 7 to 9 years. </p> <p><!--noindex--></p> <p><a rel=lb.ua
