The current problem of borgs on the balancing market is to make more profitable investments in energy, – NKREKP

The growing problem of borgs on the balancing electricity market will allow more profits to be generated your investments in energy.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with a message to the head of the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services (NKREKP) Valery Tarasyuk.

“We have a systemic problem associated with non-payers. The largest non-payers are: the state coal mines, the Kharkov water utility and the metro, and others. Why is this a problem, for all these people will drink, who will be on the RDN , and there is nothing there. Chronic defaulters fall into a balancing market, where formally they buy electricity at a much higher price, rather than pay off their insurance,” he said.

Tarasyuk said that in the shortest possible time, the problem of borgs on the balancing market needs to be resolved over several months, and not over ten years.

It is important to note that the first decision may be made in order to solidify the flow of residents who cannot be switched on, otherwise the payment for electricity will be automatically charged. For example, there will be water utilities and state mines.

The NKREKP officer explained why the growth of the borg should be carried out in such a manner.

“Ukrenergo will pay off the debt on the balance market for grants and credits. This will solve the large problem of debt on the market. Therefore, we will immediately make investments in the Ukrainian energy sector more profitable, now investors in generation are moving into In addition, they charge for their electricity on the balancing market more than once across the river,” he added.

Previously, the head of Ukrhydroenergo, Igor Sirota, stated that the problem of the financing mechanism, the electricity tariff for the population and the balance market will require more.
