The second Ukrainian corvette built in Turkey was launched

The ship was named in honor of Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky.

Launching ceremony of the “Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky” UMiR on Facebook announced the completion of the construction of the second corvette for the Ukrainian fleet in Turkey. The Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi ship was ceremoniously launched in Istanbul.

In addition to the official, the ceremony was attended by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa and the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Cemi.

According to Umerov, the Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi and another corvette of this project, the Hetman Ivan Mazepa, which left the shipyard earlier, are equipped with the most modern weapons and will become a “significant addition to our fleet.” Ukraine “has broken the dominance of the Russians at sea, destroying dozens of ships” and is actively expanding the capabilities of the Navy in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.
