Kyiv’s usually overly cautious Western partners are not resisting this time.

The operation of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region of Russia received the “green light” from the Western world. Moreover, thanks to it, partners are now changing their attitude towards strikes against Russian territory. Such conclusions were made in their article by Politico.

Journalists noted that so far there are no signs that the allies, who had previously demonstrated caution and indecisiveness, are opposing the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on enemy territory. Even Germany, which was especially afraid of provoking The Kremlin, having authorized the use of its weapons, has taken a supportive position.

The Foreign Ministry in Berlin told Politico that “Ukraine has a right to defend itself, guaranteed by international law, and this right is not limited to its own territory.”

Judging by the video published by the German publication Bild, Ukrainian forces are using equipment provided by Germany to attack Kursk. The head of the Bundestag Security Committee, Markus Faber, confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces can conduct offensive operations using the entire arsenal of equipment provided by Berlin, including Leopard-2 tanks.

There have been no official comments from the political and military leadership of Ukraine regarding the operation in the Kursk region.
